PRODUCT DETAILS
Performance time: Approx. 45 minutes (full) 35 minutes (condensed)
For Ages: 6-18
Speaking Parts: 17-25
Soloists: Annanias, and several other solos that can be assigned to any choir member, and some spoken solos by Hillbilly and others.
Costumes:
All Biblical characters should wear Biblical costumes. Okra, Al or Ally, the Stage Manager, and the Commercial Kids should dress in modern clothes. Pontificatus, Errata and the Tourists can wear Biblical or modern costumes. Either works. If you choreograph dancers (Boopy Doopers) for the “Perils of Paul” song and “Reprise,” a uniform with colorful added collars works very well.
ACTOR'S PROPS
Stage Manager: A wireless microphone headset. A clipboard with a script attached and a pen. A stool to sit on at the side of the stage.
Al or (Ally) Literate: Signs to hold up when an audience response is needed that say Applause and Ooooh!
Paul: Two costumes; one normal Biblical, and one that is exactly the same or similar that has been ripped in places with red paint stains all over to depict blood.
Dr. Luke: A Doctor’s bag with basic Doctor’s items; stethoscope, tongue depressor, and bandages. (He can wear the stethoscope around his neck)
Caiaphas: A neck brace.
Commercial Kids: For the “Pizza” song two or more pizzas and a sign that says “Mahoney’s Pizza.” White chef hats for each child along with gingham neckerchiefs are encouraged. You can purchase real looking pizzas from Iwasaki Images 800-323-9921 or 310-328-7121 for the price of 2-3 large pizzas and order any topping(s) for it you desire. They even have anchovies. They are very durable and last forever! For the “Shoe” song, any kind of shoes will do. Vests are a great way to make this group uniform for this song.
Tourists: Cameras, backpacks and any other tourist type of paraphernalia.
Soldiers and Angry Jews: Swords. The Jews can also have clubs, axes or other plastic weapons.
The Road to Damascus Kids and Paul: Stick Horses, a thin plywood painted door, bed (or Human Bed is preferred. Check out the video to see The Human Bed and the fun choreography for it!). A pillow, comforter or bedspread is needed, whatever kind of bed you choose. Other suggested items are: A sign that says “Damascus” with an arrow pointing the direction you have set it to be. A cartoon painted Sun and a cloud made from foam-core. These are all extra things that will make the song come to life in its own special way!
Stage Set
The entire musical occurs on one TV show set, so a single backdrop suffices. Make it fancy or plain as you like.

Desk and plush chair for Okra. Couch and/or plush chairs for guests. Artificial trees or plants. Painted city backdrop. Banner for “The Okra Windmill Show.”
Simple
No desk, basic chair. Simple chairs for guests. Use plants if wanted. Hang curtains or sheets.
